I don't remember this hate for panopticon or Cascadian black metal at all but that was probably during a time when I was much less active here since there were several years that I barely even visited. As a matter of fact, I remember being bombarded by people going apeshit over WitTR while I thought they were overhyped. Now, I love all their stuff lol

god the tone on this record is so mean. some of the melodic noodling doesn't sound great but when the heavy trems come in it's like Transylvanian Hunger again. I, Hedonist is an absolute machine.
