for me this has more standout tracks but DtGL is more epic and has the better album listening experience idk

The few songs I've heard off this were pretty terrible, especially the whiney as hell sung vocals.

I don't like Underoath. Everything I've tried to listen to by them has made me a sad panda

It's so weird, the main beef alot of people seem to have with this album is that it's not as epic as DtGL etc etc...but that's my beef with DtGL...it doesn't live up to this album. xD I guess it boils down to which one you heard first.

See, I just don't get that from Define. I have no idea why, a few tracks do, but it doesnt have the consistant desperate, apocolyptic epic feel that this album has.

Ah, fair enough. Although, I also get a really personal feeling from this. It's not just everything, its one guy lost in the middle of it all shitting himself.

The lyrics to Define are good and all, but I just dont get much feeling from the music.

I think if you've been an Underoath fan for a while then Define was their peak. For someone like me, this album is awesome. I appreciated Define a lot more after I spun this a few times, but I still like this better. Here's hoping their next album with be a fusion of the fluidity and poise found here and the aggression and passion found on Define.

I love how you can barely type a sentence yourself and have the audacity to comment on the writing skills of others.
