Oh well, 4.5 from me. This CD is a beast. Will be on heavy rotation. The atmosphere is awesome, and the vox own. Well pretty much the who damn thing.

I've realized that I just don't like this style of death metal. I've heard several albums recently that have a similar sound and feel to this and I didn't much care for any of them.
Just like with Hornet of Pogrom, objectively this is really good but it just does nothing for me. I'll take Bloodbath over this any day, ridiculous as that may be.

If I were to write a review for Hornets, there's no way I could ever back up a 2.5 or 3 by saying over and over again "I find this boring". The riffs are solid, the solos are great, the drumming is tight. It's good. I just don't like it.
