Don't debate this

Assuming 8 hours of sleep and 40 hours of work, he goes over the number of hours required by almost 100 days' worth.

And again, THREE listens. This Message Edited On 12.04.08

Actually, what needs to happen is for Zoo to come back here and just tell us.

We are now. :thumb:
Zoo, you have 1600+ albums rated.

You have three reviews.

Let's play the math game!

Assuming most of those average at 50 minutes each, and the minimum number of listens to get a good appreciation of an album is 3 (just for example's sake, it's more), it gives us this:

3 x 50 x 1600 = 240000

Divide that by 60 and you get 4000, and divide that by 24 and you get 166 and 2/3rds days.

I'm going to go no further with this, but assuming you've listened to most of those since your join date at the beginning of last year, you'd have to have spent at least 1 out of every 3 days listening to music ALL day to truly grasp all that music.

And that's THREE listens.
I've never had a problem with you. In fact I've always thought you should be around more than you usually are. Your review for Adultery convinced me to get the album and I'm glad you wrote it, not to mention your epically detailed AN review. So I'm not sure where all this is coming from.

But since we're playing games....

Let's play the logic game!

Not sure how my number of reviews factors in except being a shameless attempt at pointing out the fact that I don't really contribute to the site and instead try to compensate by telling

everyone about the (according to Coke) new shitty bands I just listened to on MySpace and gave impulsive ratings to.

I do have almost 1700 albums rated. Have I listened to them them all three or even two times through? No. I listen to them enough to know how much I like the album. Using one linear formula for rating every album I listen to would be rather foolish and inefficient, given every album is different. Not everyone needs multiple listens of an album to know what they think of it.

When I revisit an album after a few months or so, my opinion may have changed. That is why I change my ratings fairly often.

Okay, the review thing, I guess, was an attempt to figure out why you don't review more often, since you HAVE heard so much music.

I put that out there because you insulted Cocaine when he made a legitimate point about you; you do rate an abnormally high number of albums during very short periods of time.

Which raises the question

Why DON'T you write more reviews? (I'm actually curious, that's not meant to be derogatory)This Message Edited On 12.04.08

I love when people take off the cuff remarks so seriously. I was totally making fun of Zoo for naming a bunch of shitty unknown bands (don't take shitty seriously) but I was just lighting a fire because it's such a stupid argument, not because I care that he likes "underground" metal. I was mostly just scoffing at the arrogance of saying "yeah i bet you dont even know half of these bands!". It's a childish thing to say is all.

It's really not something worth discussing but hey you guys never fail to amaze me.

@ Jack: I agree, I should review more. But I have no patience for writing and get frustrated easily.

@ Coke: I wasn't being arrogant at all. He based his opinion only on the albums he had heard. If he hasn't heard all the albums, he can't possibly compare them to this one. Thus, his opinion has no valid basis. If calling him out on that makes me arrogant, then I suppose I am.

But hey, it was fun. Besides, what the hell else am I going to do at 3:30 in the morning.

You guys should probably realise that Cocaine hates everything, and that by insulting you he's not somehow making out that you're in anyway special, he's just raging at whatever gets in his way. You guys need to stop acting like Jesus has just given you a handjob every time he talks to you and start ignoring him or something.

Lol, i'M gonna be the one anomaly and post something that actual has to do with the album. I for one think this album is simply amazing, I'm currently HOOKED on "How great thou art." And I for one think this album is better then there old ones, the older ones were kinda just there to show of there musicianship.. The same people that say the old albums were better are the same type of people that say Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Black Sabbath are STILL the best bands.."just because they were the founder,"when in reality that doesn't mean jack shit. I mean the old albums were nice and all, but they got boring real fast. This album on the other hands has more energy, and is an all around great album, as in something you can listen to in your car. As for "cocaine" ignore him...nuff said, hes what you call a "pretentious know it all asshole fck..." Yes thats my phrase dont take that. Go ahead bash me for my lack of experience on this site, but I've been an avid listener of all types of metal and a viewer of this site long before i registered. So please don't toss the "you have xx amount of comments, so your opinion is worthless" remark. Ehem, lemme go back to endulging in the awesomeness of this album. This Message Edited On 12.04.08This Message Edited On 12.04.08

I was worried that these guys would fail to deliver after the disappointing Physics Of Fire but glad to see my worries have been put to rest. This album is just full of win, its like Terminate Damnation part 2 and I couldnt be any happier.Loving Artificial Humanity and How Great Thou Art(which is funny because i'm not really religious in the slightest anymore.)
