One of the most formative albums of my high school years, still a joy to return to (this and Zooropa both). But man, this band's reputation hasn't aged well

Another reason why Nevermind at the time was the future.
This album was massive when it came out, massive singles, massive concerts, massive hoopla, just absolutely bloody massive but it was the equivalent of a glossy magazine with sponsored features.
Then Nirvana happened.

Saw U2 at Sphere. Their performance was okay. Nice to hear them do Acrobat (my favorite song from them) but the standout of the set for me was Love Is Blindness, they were on point for that one. A couple songs fell flat - UV and Streets; they are probably so tired of playing those songs live.
Sphere - I was on the floor, about 25 feet from stage. Stage seemed small (but perfect), felt quite intimate. Sound quality was very good. Some visual effects were amazing (especially for The Fly) and others were boring. A couple of instances actually felt like we were outside. Great venue overall; I’d love to see Radiohead here.

yeah i hear bonos voice hasnt really been holding up these recent shows but i guess hes probably rusty from them having not played in a while. rad to hear acrobat and love is blindness owned. hell of a closing combo on this album (altho i know they changed around the order for the set lol)

Yeah, changing the album order threw me. But they were smart to do so because it maximized the energy for the live experience.

This record is quite lovely. 'Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses' is a nice tune
