Yes but if you look at everything they do, it definitely is not just an image. "Appeal to Reason" is sold in digipacks that are made of only recycled paper and vegetable inks, completely eco-friendly, so I mean...

Maybe you're right, it was just a feeling. I'll look more into it, I didn't know all of that.

I don't agree to that, but that statement has been right quite a few times.

Rise Against hasn't really done anything new or interesting in a few years and this album is the best proof. Nothing wrong with simple music but it's getting really generic and boring lately.

I like this a good deal, probably a little more than Siren Song tbh. Savior is definitely my favorite song.

This is still a solid Rise Against album, but considering what I think of the past Rise Against cataloge (unwraveling-4, rpm-5, siren song-4.5, tsaw-5), this is kind of weak. I agree with the thread on Savior being the best song on here.

If we are talking about Rise Against's best song, I would say Everchanging (either version). It's just a song I connect with on a personal level. This Message Edited On 10.09.08

I keep listening to this over and over again and it's getting better and better. There are some really great tracks on this. I'm so close to giving it a 4.

as a semi-hardcore rise against fan i was a little dissapointed with this album after hearing re-education back in august. Some songs stand out such as hero of war (next swing life away), re-education, kotov syndrome, collapse, from heads unworthy, and the strength to go on. Other than these gems the rest was very mediocre. solid but not as good as siren.

Son of a bitch. Mid-tempo Rise Against is so damn boring. Fast and heavy. Its the only way to go for these guys.

I'm torn between a 3.5 and 4 for this. I like all the songs, but several feel like filler at times.

I still don't see why Hero of War is so bad - yeah it's not "Roadside" or "Swing Life Away" but it's not bad either.

Steve, once more we agree. I'm also torn between a 3.5 and 4, but with a leaning towards a 4. I also think 'Hero Of War' is good and may actually be worth releasing as a single just to get the band noticed.

I just secured great tickets to their March gig down under. Can't wait.

Same here!

I think "Swing Life Away" kinda did that already, plus Savior, Kotov Syndrome and Collapse are better songs.
