Perfect, just perfect. I want this played at my wedding. The title song is one of the ten best metal songs ever, and the entire album is flawless.
Battery? Pure pwnage. TTTSNB? Awwwwwesome. Sanitarium? Better than Fade To Black. Leper Messiah? Hell yeah. Disposable Heroes? Perhaps their most underrated song. Orion? Fantastic. And Damage Inc.? You know it's tops.

the absolute worst album on the century, over-cliche riffs, and they hail it as a classic! what is trhe world coming to! thrash lost its originality long ago.

This album is great but definetly not better than RtL. oh yeah and to pattern-recogniton sanitarium is definetly not better than fade to black. This is still a classic album but i just think that RtL was a little more original. Leper messiah is one of metallica's most underrated songs. They should definetly play it more at live shows.

Yeah i thought that part in "Cunning Stunts" was cool too. Also I can see why people like MoP better with the production and the lyrics and all but you have to admit the music was more fresh on RtL for the times.

I prefer the solo's for sanitarium and the lyrics are so much better. Yes i realise my name says otherwise but Master Of Puppets is just so good.

Then change your name to sanitarium boy or sumthin. Also the ending solo to fade to black is definetly better, every metallica fan knows that.

It's called taste people! Fade To Black, Welcome Home (Sanitarium). Is one better than the other? Yes. Will we ever fully grasp which one is better on this site? No.

For the rec, my faith lies with the RtL classic. Just the way it is.
Leper messiah is one of metallica's most underrated songs.
123. It's probably my favourite track on the record and it's totally under-appreciated. Such is the greatness of this album!

See bahamut has the idea, oh and i never said that Fade to black was his best work. All I said was that it was a better song than sanitarium and it had a better solo at the end (which it did).

True, but Sanitarium was much heavier, and isn't as much of a ballad as Fade to Black. I find fade to black easier to listen to, though i appreciate sanitarium just as much as fade to black

I'd say AJFA was better, but this is more revolutionary.

Best Tracks: Sanitarium, Orion.
