dude that is mad fucked and considering I just saw you bump this rating up (unless you're just trying to impress me, in which case, impressed) you need to hear Nine Types of Light right now.
Gun to my head that's their best album.
is ok calculator exactly what it sounds like
what does it sound like? it's not a Radiohead rip-off but it's just kind of dumb and average.

but Cookie Mountain has Wolf Like Me and also there's the Young Liars EP which would probs be a 5 if it was an LP so
yeah dude just listen to all of it
|
| |
haha i figured it might look like that, but no dude I jammed this 3 times in a row this morning and am again right now, so glad this is finally clicking with me
and yeah i'll do that. My friend seems to like Desperate Youths the most, though.

I mean I guess it kind of is but not really (re: Ok Calculator)
really it's just a fittingly stupid name for a dismissable album
|

the awesome thing about this band is how incredibly dense and layered their music is. even when they're making simple indie jams it feels like there are like twenty different aspects to every song. makes them the ultimate growers
..which is why i like cookie mountain the best, because whereas on here + nine types of light some of that layering is masked with pop hooks which is fun & immediate and such but the DENSITY of cookie mountain is tough to beat alright kinda high romulus out

And now we'll gather in the shadow of your family treeeeee

i can still remember the listen when it first clicked with me. and like 4 years later it hasn't lost its touch one bit.
This > 9TOL > Cookie Mtn = Desperate Youth ....all are 4.5+

sorry guys I can't get into the rest of this after hearing DLZ first
|
| |
it'll probably grow on you, give it time
it did for me. was thoroughly underwhelmed at first. and DLZ was my first TV song too, kudos to Breaking Bad
|

and DLZ was my first TV song too, kudos to Breaking Bad
same
fucking fuck grower albums. they're the best but so frustrating to sniff out and get into. all the shitty albums I've listened to over and over just to ascertain that nope those albums do actually suck
|
| |
lol well whatevs man, just saying that I didn't think this was anything special until yesterday. and i've had this for months!
just food for thought, some albums grow on you, might be hard to get into them but when you do hot damn
|

alt/indie has overtaken metalcore on my pie chart
when the fuck did that happen and what is happening to me?
