Idk how would I know that I never listen to hip-hop
Gorillaz can pull off rapping and that's it for me
also re: Vital really digging it lotta sweet tunes in there

yah cos albarn is a pom and they are so much better at music than us
vital is prob second or third best anberlin ye

True but like its weird cos Blur and his solo stuff are really boring but Gorillaz are the fucking best so why does he only succeed at 1/3? idk but he is talented for sure
Anyway don't be so quick to dismiss the Aus music scene cos we have mothafucking GRINSPOON DUDE
Might fit in nicely to third for me, Lowborn and Cities above and NTFP below

@tommy idk lowborn for me is a grower, probs cuz there's a lot of sorta-kinda ballads there. plus the lyrics really are fantastic. not necessarily for everyone tho, i could see you being bored by it

Honestly Lowborn is my favourite Anberlin album as a set of songs its just their best even if Cities has the best individual tunes

Vital and NTFP be at the top for me.
Have only given Lowborn one listen all the way though. It was alright on first listen.

y'all are crazy
Cities has fantastic lyrics throughout, "conversate" notwithstanding
And pretty much all the songs are "pretty good" at worst. Even Hello Alone has a really nice verse.
I don't disagree Lowborn is their most consistent work though

this is their second best : ]

i started a slightly modified version of 'Blame Me!' at my shows
i love those melodies...

I'm not fond of the chorus. I think it's how one-note the whole "Blame me! Blame me!" part is, and the fact that the melody of the "Leave me out of this/ Your life’s a sinking ship" part doesn't resolve that part very satisfyingly for me. Or it might be that it has one of the most tedious guitar riffs the band has ever written.
On the other hand, the melody of the verses, like those on most of the album's tracks, is pretty fantastic.
