I do enjoy Feel Good Drag very much. Some of their most memorable guitar work.

it has some really weak tracks and some odd-fitting ones (northern lights, blame blame me, younglife for the first category; haight st. and breaking in the latter), which is ironic since when i reviewed this ages ago, i labeled it as their most consistent (how things change).

but there are some great songs. breathe is pretty, breaking is catchy, and retrace might be their best midtempo ballad. the resistance, soft skeletons, and miserabile visu are legitimately great. and the feel good drag is one of their best songs, re-released or not.

of course i'm a bit of a fanboy, and it took me a while to accept stuff like retrace, breathe, and breaking at face value

maybe needs another listen but god I wish they could write more music like the "LOOK CHILDREN TO THE EASTERN SKY" part of Miserable Visu that is legit goosebumps inducing

Anberlin ballads are hit and miss for me they can be absolutely tops or complete rubbish

Def Never Take Friendship Personal version which I think is the common answer but honestly there ain't that much difference to my ears

This one is a little cleaner, neater sounding which is either good or bad depending on opinion but doesn't really matter to me

Only thing that puts the NTFP version above for me is the sweet scream Stephen pulls off in the bridge which isn't in this one
