"1979 - 1990 is the absolute Golden Age of this band"

Nah, 1974-1979 is way way better

The band overall was extremly consistent from '74 up to '84 tho

They were consistent but not as good imho as 79-90

Lovedrive, Blackout and Love at First Sting elevate that decade so hard.

They rule, specially this one, but Uli was Scorps for me

Uli was good but he was let down by his bandmates who just didn't really have a solid direction to charge towards at the time. I'd dare say Roth was the only consistent part of that era. Probably why he left to. Hard to carry a band on your back when they really have no idea where they want to go.

I agree on that. They certainly went for different approaches during that era before settling on the hard rock style they're popular for after Uli left

I suppose that's why I prefer their 70's era though. It felt more unique, while the 80's were more generic for me. Top quality 80's hard rock/heavy metal, but generic.

I still love everything they did up to this album though. This one's certainly one of their best for me

It's their last classic, in my opinion, but the following two are also cool
