As much as I love this band, they really need to stay away from producing. Far away.

Coheed is generic, they have taken sounds from other bands in the scene and from oldies and make an alright sound out of it.
Nothing really grand, or at least anymore with their albums.
So I don't see why it's so blasphemous to call C&C that.

they're not generic

THe Heraldic Manufacturer's Medallion has such intense drumming, fall in love with it almost everytime.
Another Leather Lung has great dual vocals too and Blessings be Yours Mister V is just breathtaking.
Great review! Shame about the minor nuisances of the interludes though.

if someone knows, wanna outline who sings on each track. that would be GREAT.

that's not really the point of the music...the whole reason they tried to keep their identities a secret was to keep people from focusing on who is doing what and just focus on the music as a whole...but if you are familiar with the members in their other bands it should take you all of five seconds to figure out who it is...

oh i am aware that it is purely for the music and thats completely what i take it for. I just read about this band alot and am very intrigued at the whole process of how they have written their albums and just the awesomeness of rich balling and anthony green. I know in most cases who does what, just in some cases its hard to tell.

the only time it gets confusing to me is when rich and matt do things at the same time but I don't know...I've never really cared about who was doing what I guess haha...their writing process is pretty insane though...

yeah thats what gets me confused. i don't know why i care so much anyways.
Im not sure if i believe how they do it is true, even though it most likely is obviously. Just its hard to imagine that something so spazzed and zany can come out so beautiful

When they both do vocals at the same time it sometimes gets a bit difficult to tell who is singing which part if they are harmonizing or something...but then again after a few seconds I stop caring who is doing what and just go with it

ohhhh. I guess listening to Rx Bandits has allowed Matt Embree's voice to stand out as his own, but he's the guy primarily signing on 'Blessings Be Yours Mister V'This Message Edited On 09.17.08
Balling is signing on 'I, Swan' with Anthony Green (i'll update this post as I listen to the album again)
