Sober and Intolerance to two my favorite songs ever...however, as stated here, the rest of the album is pretty average (minus a couple tracks). But beyond that, Tool owns me.

This album is always considered so dark by everyone, but I don't see it as being that dark. Some moments/songs certainly are, but all in all, I find Aenima to be a lot darker.

How can Aenima be dark with Intermission? that's such a happy song and Hooker with a Penis is anything but dark. This album has nothing joyful about it. Well, duh it's your opinion but I'm just saying
4/5 for the album, nice review

Oh and I say hooker with a penis in regards to the fact that lyrics are hilarious

Yeah, Hooker With a Penis is choice songwriting.

I wouldn't say intermission is a happy song. It's not the individual songs, really. It's the aura surrounding the album for me. It's hard to explain.

Aenima is an album made to twisyt the reality of the listener. Did you know that in Die Er Von Satan, the german guy is speaking how to make a cookie recipe? And Message To Harry Manback is some guy threatening another guy. The music in the two 'fillers' are opposite what the characters are saying. I dunno, I just like telling people that. ^^;

Another stupid comment which i cant stand, why do idiots post this on the best site on the net.
'daney carey is not that good. being a drummer myself im still pondering why people think hes one of the 10 best drummers of all time. i dont really much care for tool and this album really aint that great. 2.5/5'
Danny Carey = Worlds Best Drummer
Keithmoondrummer = Worlds most idiotic drummer.
I myself am a drummer and ive been playing drums since i was 11, and every song which Danny hits out is top standard, its hard stuff. I can only play a handfull of Tool Songs in full, listening to them is hard enough cos its so dam good. keithmoondrummer i bet you coudlnt even play the most simplest Tool song, if there is a simplest.
Im a massive Tool fan, and Undertow is one of Tool finest albums/, with some grand tracks on it. And yes it has some lows in it i will admit. You cant go past Prison Sex and Sober though. A 4/5 album.

While there are a lot of holes in this album (bad production/bad filler), this album is very important and enjoyable at times. The sound is so haunting and creepy on - it goes all through-out the album - almost conceptual. This Message Edited On 12.30.05

I think this cd is a good one bye tool,I love the fact that they add in the strange noses, but then have the riff's flow right on in and in perfect times

This lasts for seven minutes. Seven long, unneccessary minutes. After that, begins a phone message, supposedly left on Maynard's answering machine. Then the phone hangs up as the track and album ends.
Actualy its exactly seven minuets and six seconds and if any of you dident catch that it is six minuets and sixty six seconds 7:06=6:66

I just downloaded Flood and I dont see how you can slag the Intro so much - its great slow, sludgy, plodding, murky stuff, it sounds like something the Melvins would do, except its Tool, which makes it even cooler.

"daney carey is not that good. being a drummer myself im still pondering why people think hes one of the 10 best drummers of all time."
I decided recently that the reason Danny Carey is my favorite drummer isn't because of his chops or his versatility or pocket or any of a billion other dimensions in which you can judge a drummer, it's because out of all the drummers who are at or above his level, only he has done close to that much DMT. Seriously though, he takes a very psychedelic approach to the drums. Psychedelic and heavy. Gotta have heavy.

Hell yeah, man.
