Not sure if this record deserves a 5... the drumming I think is what makes the record. It's mostly songs about a girl/relationships with them, and that can get monotonous. Also, the guitars have a fair bit of wankery going on lol for example, some parts of the songs that try to hit hard miss with poor sounding harmonious or lame up stroking false chords. If I want dissonance like that I'll go to Gorguts; all in all, this pales in comparison to say, a Shai Hulud or Strongarm. This is influential to bands who play to get pits going, because this is a pit/breakdown record at best.

lot of melodrama and emotion but it's very uplifting and it's full of spirit. guitars were perfect i didn't pick up on any wankery. just somewhat mathy/spastic and some breakdowns. it's a great record. i don't revisit it often but it's well done

Funny how this band is receiving a lot of love lately, the whole late 90s chug/wee style of metalcore is probably due a proper comeback any minute now. There are already some bands doing it already and it seems like just a matter of time before it's a "thing" again.
