Talons isn't on the original copy of Intimacy.

Well, it's going to be.

I actually don't think it should have been the 2nd single anyway, so it hasn't affected my rating either way.

Ares has to be a single. Song is so ridiculously good.

I was hoping a good make-up after their sophmore album, and even though it's better then A Weekend in the City, it still feels kinda "meh"

WoW sort of eats my life.
I'm glad I never tried that shit.

I'm actually a little annoyed at Talons being stuck between Zepherus and Better Than Heaven. That combo is the best - they're the two best tracks on the record too.

Silent Alarm is the best this band has/will ever produce on this evidence.

Yeah, Silent Alarm is pretty much godly in my eyes.

boring?

no wayyy, i found it really refreshing and exciting to see bloc party venture down a new musical route, with so many bands just sticking to the 'safe' option. It was bound to cause controversy, what with the large part of their fan base used to their guitar rock sound.

Saying that though, although as a whole i found the album impressive, to me a few songs did begin to merge together, suggesting similarity, which is never good.

I'd definately recommend it though.

Nice review, although I would've thought the text merited more than a 2.5 ^^. I enjoy this album, it's got its quirks and its trip-ups and, definitely, its mis-steps, but it's very interesting and keeps me listening.

^Agreed.

...and PartinsShot...what does that have to do with Bloc Party? A big fat nothing, I think.
