Great album. My favorite one by Green Day I believe.
Basket Case rocks.

Dookie was awesome...you can tell green day was headed for great things when you listen to it.
One great thing is critics can't call Green Day immature for this, because they were only like 20 when it came out.
But I think IMMATURE is a good thing, especially in punk, right?

yep theres nothing wrong with immature punk bands.

I love this album, but my girlfriend hates it, so I play it extra loud.
Green Day were better when they sung to potheads about being potheads and were potheads.

As a general rule, I hate punk music. But this album broke the ice for me. This album is so stunning, and almost perfect. I remember listening to this almost nonstop when I first got it, and I still think that it is a punk masterpiece. One problem: I don't like punk anymore. At all. I'm from the hard rock/hip hop crowd, and I hate punk with a passion. This is the only punk album that I own anymore, and it is great. The standout songs are Long View, Basket Case, When I Come Around, and F.O.D.

Lol yes we are all from the Hard Rock/Hip Hop crowd.
I don't think such a crowd exists, but punk is awesome, despite some horrific additions to the genre.

I bought this when I was younger and regret it. I know some of you will freak out but I think that American Idiot is better than this.

Good album. I like how the songs are all so simple and easy, even if you dont like green day their songs are really great to play if your starting a new band because its easy enough for everyone to learn to perform together as a group...you wont understand what im saying unless you have actually performed with a group of people. This Message Edited On 06.21.06

The non-filler tracks here are great, but the fillers are pure awful.

I agree.
Sassafras Roots sucked monkey nuts.
Except I thought that Coming Clean was good.
Good review overall.
(at least it wasn't a track by track)
