Worst Emery, definitely.

They're re-recording and doing a vinyl pressing of this, for whatever reason

I will never understand the hate this album gets from the fan base. Sure it’s not the best it is easily in the same tier as stuff like WDWWW and it’s miles better than the snooze fest that is the new one.

"I will never understand the hate this album gets from the fan base."
a lot of it is just calcified bitterness that it's not as much of an early 2000s post-hardcore album as the previous two, and I think some of the more 'ambitious' tracks fall a little flat. The band was riding a huge wave of hype after The Weak's End and The Question and this kinda killed their momentum. If In Shallow Seas had come out first, Emery would probably have exploded in popularity.

my rankings are now The Question > In Shallow Seas We Sail > Eve > You Were Never Alone > We Do What We Want > I'm Only a Man > The Weak's End (y'all gonna hate me for it, but I don't think it aged well) > White Line Fever

Makes sense, it just always struck me as weird that their was so much vitriol directed at an album that at worse is a mid tier Emery album.
I’d probably rank their discography: ISSWS>You Were Never Alone>The Question>The Weaks End>I Am Only A Man>Eve>WDWWW>White Line Fever

It was a semi failed attempt at trying to be more commercially viable, at least that's what I thought when I heard it, and sometimes ppl do not react well to that kind of thing
Granted I wouldn't go up to them and tell them it sucked or anything like that. It still has some very good songs on it

It's rather remarkable how well they came back with Shallow Seas in terms of commercial success. That's probably their best selling album considering it has 500 more votes on sputnk than any of their other albums i believe

I just realized they remade this and released it.

The remake ain't worth a damn. It just makes me like this album even more.

I listened to the first two songs of the remake but then I got bored

The remake somehow makes it worse
