you're too lazy to google flashbulb soundtrack to a vacant life rapidshare?

the only parts that disappoint are when he plays crunchy power chords for 'heavy' portions of particular songs. its like hes up to date on the cutting edge of expression in every direction BUT -core styles

those are my favorite parts on the album

I don't think he was going for any kind of -core.

"I don't think he was going for any kind of -core."
agreed... didn't really know how to express that. seems like he missed the mark by such a great distance that the target itself isn't understood.
i really love this but at times i feel like he couldve landed harder punches with his talents... esp with the last song of a thirty track album. a more epic closer wouldve given this massive endeavor much greater justice.
ps. sorry adam lol

I didn't really like all the grandiosity in the review, but I did like the songs I heard off of myspace so I'm currently getting this. Hope it's good. I've been listening to so much good new music though I feel a little weighed down with stuff so I may save this for a rainy day.

I admit I was prone to hyperbole in this review, but the album's good and I wanted to make people get it. oh well

Well you have good taste and are calling this a 4.5. That's good enough I think.

So far this reminds me of a Infidel?Castro! if it were possible to liken Kayo Dot to Opeth. The one-man-show element, the sprawling scope and influences, as well as the variety of composition style all feels like where I?C! was coming from but this is just miles away in terms of poppiness, aesthetic, etc. Weird.

This is pretty chill. I really enjoy the variation and the ambience this record has to offer. The drum programming on this is also excellent, particularly the solos.

Haha, I definitely see where he's coming from though.
This is good, really grew on me the second listen. Some tracks still feel kind of empty but I suppose with so many tracks that's to be expected. It's not so much that the tracks I don't dig aren't well done it's that they don't spark an emotional reaction in me.
Absolutely fantastic review by the way, I'm happy I checked this out because of it.

Why Iluvs, do you think it's absurd? I'm not saying they sound alike, I'm just saying to format is reminiscent.
