I somewhat agree. Except this album is not depressing AT ALL. The song Land Locked Blue may be considered depressing to some, but I see it as beautiful.



And who ever said Ryou-Neko is Christian sounding, is a total moron.



It mentions religon a lot, mockingly. Try reading the lyrics to the Cassadaga album sometime.

Land Locked Blues is one of the best pieces of lyricism I think I've ever come across. It stands head and shoulders above anything OBERST has every written and that is F**KING saying something.

This is probably my favorite album by Bright Eyes. Lifted was amazing, and probably equaled to this, however.
