Still a great record. I feel like a lot of people don't look beyond the goofy concept and don't really pay attention to how awesome some of the music is. Album flows really well as a whole, too. Maybe a bit too long in places, but that's common practice for Devin's stuff.

Apart from the Ziltoid nonsense and rambling, this is pretty decent.

Yeah Genesis slaps hard, god damn. That official video on youtube is absolutely hilarious and also gives you a nice idea for what he was thinking while he wrote it.

New single is pretty chill. I dig it. I think this is gonna be a hard album to digest though, both singles required a lot of listens for me to "get it".

I know my name is ironic but I forgot my password so here I am. Someone once told me and for many years I thought Gene Hoglan was still with Devin when this album was made. I can hear it now but I thought for the longest time Gene the Machine was playing this. And after all he's done (especially Almost Again which is the greatest drumming song I've ever heard with Devin with SYL) I didn't bat an eye. 12 years later and I just learn it's not Gene Hoglan. I still can't help but think these drums are genius but hearing it wasn't actually Gene Hoglan has changed my outlook on it. Horrible concept but the music is too good here. Maybe I'm still holding on to Gene Hoglan as the drummer but I love this album. Especially Hyperdive and The Greys. That and the beautiful part in N9 hits pretty hard.
