There is a line in the review that (the way I read it) knocks The Killers... & it is the 2nd staff review in a week that does so.

it's not unrelated. Black Kids are cited as being contemporaries of the Killers, as in they sound like them. The line in the review is meant to note how Black Kids sound like them and also that they suck.

^ yeah I know right.

This is pretty shitty. EP was alright, but this sounds too clean, neatly pressed -- they already sounded pretty synthetic.

Dude does sound A LOT like Robert Smith tho.

No comments on the music worth repeating.

I took an instant dislike to the band as soon as they decided to be 'edgy' with their name.

You have to feel sort of bad for them. Pitchfork raved about their EP for a good month and now that the albums out they totally screwed them with a 3.3/10. Not the best thing to happen when 90% of your fanbase consists of Pitchfork hipster zombies.

Would punching each and every one of them very hard in the face be regarded as socially unacceptable?

I just read Pitchfork's review of this album. I'm not sure if the dogs are sorry that the album sucks or if they are sorry that Pitchfork has been pushing another god awful band. Probably both?

Just another reminder of how far Pitchfork has fallen in the last 5 years. They about as useful as Rolling Stone now.

Nice caption btw.

The page loaded slowly for me so I saw the dog's faces and the sorry :-/ first. I was praying there would be a turd at the bottom of the picture. That would have adequately summed up my feelings for this album.
