To me, Die Weide Und Der Fluß, Dämmerung and Mana are easily the best songs on the album.

Eh 2 out of 3 isn't bad.

If I had to pick 3 I'd say Unbesiegt, Der Sangers Fluch, and (duh) Mana.

But really, they all add something awesome to the overall soundscape of the album.

This one is tied for my album of the year. Mana is very moving and epic.

Okay, after listening to this a few times, I give it a 3. The first half is boring, the second half is pretty amazing though. One thing I can't get past is how bad Helge Stang's vocals are, I just can't stand them.

I definitely agree there, I just wished there was something in the middle to really peak my interest, I'm not sure why, maybe there just isn't enough variety in the album to warrant it being 80 minutes long.

What I was meaning to say is that this album has an awesome atmosphere. This Message Edited On 07.27.08

The first half is boring

UhWaaaaaaaaaa???

And Helge's vocals are pretty powerful. Nothing special but well done, and they really don't get in the way for me most of the time. Especially since I can't understand a word he's saying anyway.

Tbqh, I really feel the instrumentation and orchestration on this album is just too good to get this anything lower than a 3.5

It probably will. Its too awesome not to grow on you. Or anybody that listens to it for that matter.

With all the 5's on this album, its a wonder that Sputnikmusic doesn't change its name to Spunkallovereverythingmusic!

I'm pretty sure Time (Wintersun) will beat both of them if it actually drops.

From what I heard from the new Ikuinen Kaamos, that might be better as well. If that ever drops.
