I prefer Kezia to this. One of the sound offs said something along the lines of "Kezia had something underneath the craziness which made it come down from the clouds and connect with me on a more human level." And I think he pretty much nailed it.

I disagree with what it says about the instruments, for the most part, but I DO entirely agree with what it says about the lyrics. I loved Kezia's lyrics, but these really are just pseudo-intellectual bullshit.

yeah this album is really dissapointing. Lot's of technical brilliance, absolutely zero emotion. it's like the guys said: "hey, let's show off how many genius guitar riffs we can string together, and then we'll write some genius, intellectual, abstract lyrics to go with it, and poof! We'll have a genius concept album!" and instead, it comes out as totally forced and lacking any passion at all. except, of course, if you happen to be crazy about Irish goddesses.
