One of my favorite albums ever. A true landmark in the on going history of rock n roll. If your mind is open it can change your way of looking at music. Fantastic songs and a great hungry band spitting them out. Brand New Cadillac kills. This Message Edited On 04.20.06

Perhaps the album doesn't need one more comment of praise, but this album is fantasitc. Clearly the missing link between classic rock and the punk experience.

I can understand why this is an important album, but it never struck me as anything really special in terms of a musical sense.

^well this doesn't sound like a lot of older punk. And I don't see how tracks like Clampdown and Four Horsemen are boring. But thats just me.

Some of it falls flat for me. I need to listen to it more, but it seems to lack the speed of other classic old school punk albums.

Who cares about speed?

Well not the speed, but the intensity just seems to be lacking on tracks like Jimmy Jazz and Lost In The Supermarket.

If you want to get into some more classic punk, I would recomend getting into Sham 69, Stiff Little Fingers, GBH, Black Flag, Minutemen, The Damned, Circle Jerks, Fear, and The Germs, to name a few. This Message Edited On 05.08.06
