I used not to have favorite tracks from Scar Symmetry (they were all just this good), but regarding this album, right now it's Morphogenesis, Timewave Zero, Quantumleaper, Ghost Prototype I and Holographic Universe for me.

The rest are rather underwhelming, though. That's why I think this album has nothing on Symmetric in Design and Pitch Black Progress. Overall it's very enjoyable and more emotional than the previous two, but it doesn't justify putting weaker tracks on it.

There are some really good tracks on here, but the title track absolutely blows everything else I've ever heard by this band out of the water. Holographic Universe (The song) is a fucking MASTERPIECE of metal.

truly a masterpiece imo. may have something to do with the fact that this album along with the sheer discovery of scar symmetry, was about the only music that made me feel better during a dark time in my life. absolutely love it

Holographic Universe is a good track alright. I used to be a lot more enthusiastic about it than I'm now, since IMO it drags on for a bit too long. Scar Symmetry couldn't find a way to make it believable at 9 minute mark, and it's not written that well. The Kaleidoscopic God is much better.

the best modern one for sure, but I don't know if it beats classics like The Jester Race etc.
one thing this album does really well, though, is sound fresh as hell after you stop listening to it for a while. more so than other albums.
