Such a classic record. Great review, Davey.

Oh that's right Mitch, he did too. Goldsmith left during the recording of this album and only a few little parts of his were used. Grohl did the rest of the drumming in the studio. From memory, Hawkins does contribute to 3 or 4 of the bonus tracks on this anniversary version of the LP.

Thanks Batman. This is indeed a classic.

It's cool because Grohl Sings, guitars and drums on this album.

I quite like the fact Taylor did vocals on "Cold Day In The Sun" from IYH, so the band could completely switch around if they wanted to.

It'll be interesting to see what this Grohl/Homme/John Paul Jones thing is like, and what the Foo's album afterwards will be like in relation.

Grohl is cool. Simple as that.

Yeah Mitch, Hawkins sang that song when I saw them live last year. He pulls it off pretty well too.

That's definitely one hell of a collaboration there. I'm a little concerned that the motivation won't be there for the next Fooey's album, but I hope they prove me wrong. It could very well depend on what Grohl does in the next year or so and also how much time Shiflett puts into Jackson United. I think Hawkins also has his own side-project.

Well i know Grohl loves Led Zep, so it might be along those lines, maybe... Grohl is drumming though.

The Foos played a new song (at some Obama thing i think), but I think it might just be a new song to put on a Greatest Hits album :/

Nah KILL, Croc is correct ; Grohl does play both the guitar & drums in addition to doing the vocals on this album. It's just that this time, he does not play lead guitar as Pat (don't call me Pap) Smear does.

I think you're correct Mitch as I'm sure I recall that they are releasing a Greatest Hits album around November. The record labels always love a new song or 2 to woo the die-hard fans.

When I wrote my Dananananaykroyd album review, the Batman theme was enough to get him back to Sputnik. It was his bat signal so to speak.

Rock band needs to stop putting this band and Peral Jam on it, because both are pretty average.

"He's not fucking Batman" No, he's The Goddamn Batman.

What's Rock Band got to do with anything gyro? Your Muse avatar looks great, by the way.

I just went to check some newer downloads and there was a lot of Peral Jam and Foo Fighters, and it seems like that's their main focus right now, for some reason. I do like certain songs from this band, but in the end I think they're kind of average. And thanks man! You excited for the new album? Also, I keep meaning to listen to the Sufferer and the Witness.

The Resistance shall feature such hits as Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, Another One Bites the Dust and lead single We Are The Champions. Can't wait.

And you know everyone will choose to hate it just as they did The Black Parade. Can't wait till it comes out though, I expect it to be great.
