Ah I see, you have broken Moonspell down into phases hahaha. I think I just have a thing for The Antidote. The whole alternative metal approach to that album had me upon first listen.
Album is really good so far too.

Hahah no worries dude. I do the same with most bands. TBQH the best bands out their go through phases, try new things out.
I thought this album would be mediocre at best but I'm very surprised at how they have tightened everything up.
Moon in Mercury just blows my mind. 4-4.5 One hell of a solid album and will probably make my top ten for this year. This Message Edited On 05.23.08

I don't think there's a bad song on this album. I'm just giving it more time, but will probably bump my rating to a 4.5. Hopefully this quality will stay for a few more albums.

Finally got this, it's the best Moonspell I've heard, easily. I think I like it better than Hermeticum even.

Yeah, I quite like the Antidote as well. Everything Invaded was the first Moonspell song I ever heard, back when I was like 13 or 14. It completely blew my mind.

I don't really think it is gothic rock, only hints at it. I feel its just a really good alternative metal record, with some really awesome keyboard work.
This album is going on my top 10 for this year!
