Too sentimental for it not to be for me. This was the first full length album I ever bought. Actually, it's the first album I ever consciously listened to. Every time I revisit this, I still sing along to every song and try not to hurt myself headbanging too hard. There's something about this record that just awakens some overly hyped pre-teen me lol

I got a new found love for this ever since I listened to the 2013 remaster. It took me back to those days, man. Unfortunately the remaster for hybrid theory blows but they knocked it out of the park with this one.

I probably know every word to every song on the first 3 LP albums and I still have no idea how TF to rate these albums. Albums that were easily my favorites as a kid but albums I haven't seriously revisited in years...

who cares slap that nostalgic 5 or 4.5 and let it be that

we're only as important as the experiences that made us, this album will forever be cathartic for many people as it changed their lives and ways in which they processed music. many might not be on this forum today if it weren't for LP who knows

sometimes a deeply intimate experience is more important than "objectivity" whatever that is.

I never really liked this tbh. People around me listened to them, but they weren't people I liked so it turned me off. Listening to this today leaves me completely indifferent

I used to think this was just Hybrid Theory 2.0, but contrary to that album where it sounds like a product of its time this still sounds fresh. Might bump my rating.

Reminds me if being too young to care about music. It's got some hook though

In hindsight, reading along with the lyrics to "Easier to Run" and looking back at how many were saying stuff like "oh he's just writing that shit to cater to the angsty teens" (at some point I myself was thinking like that as well) only to realize all those years later he actually meant every word he wrote

It's a sad thing really

Yeah that's very true. Really really love their first two, so much nostalgia and I still enjoy them a lot.

I remember a neighbour burning this and hybrid theory onto a single disc for me. I flogged that CD throughout all of year 7. Good times.
