Right now I have the LZ greatest hits Early Days Album, actually I am only 14 and an intermediate guitarist, but my favourite song is stairway to heaven and then i heard ramble on, and that really inspired me to learn more about this amazing band. They've got to be my personal favourite.
I think the review was excellent. I only wish that Dazed and Confused didn't have so much sex sounds, same with whole lotta love. I really love the music and the songs but all this huffing and puffing starts to get annoying.
All there is to say about this: There's is absoulutly no bad songs ever made by Led Zeppelin!
Hey as huge of a zeppelin fan i am. Im gonna have to disagree with that. Coda was a horrible album. Even the band was upset about putting it out. Everything previous rocked hard.
My dad has this one on vinyl, but it might not be usable after about thirty years.
My dad has stacks of vinyl, and he gave me most of it. Even after 30, 40 years, Hendrix, Zeppelin, Monty Python, all the stuff comes out good as long as it didn't get beaten up too badly. The stuff lasts a lot longer than cds or cassettes, that's for sure.

On another note, this is a good album, and definetly worth looking into (along with Led Zeppelin IV, of course), if you want some good guitar licks.
4.5/5, because its not quite perfect.

Honestly, how could you not like 'your time is gonna come.' one of the highlights on this album for me. A great acoustic line, a thoughtful lyric, topped off with jones' smooth organ playing. its a wonderfully warm song.

as for zeppelin not playing folk, what's wrong with you people?
battle of evermore, gallows pole, thank you, that's the way, and even stairway to heaven all have folky roots, and that's just to name a few.

Led Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time. I love LZ1 the most because it is the most blues-influenced and thats the music I love.

Great album full of energy. Black Mountain Side is my favorite song. Jimmy Page should have done more Indian style.

I don't like the way you rated some of those. I Can’t Quit You Baby is some of Page's best work. I'd give it at least a 9. How many more times is like an 8.5. Communication breakdown is rated even higher than Babe i'm gonna leave you. Explain! Babe i'm gonna leave you has a brilliant meldoy and is some of their most raw and emotion songs despite being acoustic folk. Communication breakdown is a sub-standard piece of noise.

Overall a good review.
