This album is not a 5!
Is it only my ears, but there is just some tunes on here that flat out suck. Awkward sounding metal riffs with light pop. It's so conflicting....There is some good work on here but it's just undone by poor choice of harmonies and too much atmosphere.
The most overated album of 2005.

I have to agree with you, So-so album at best. Corny lyrics, on top of that played out pop metal riffs. When I first picked this up I thought it was going to much better then it turned out to be. The title track is the only thing worth more then a 2.5/5 ranting.
Also, this is not prog, more like intelligent (some-what) radio rock. This Message Edited On 08.07.06

I'm really impressed by this album. Got it not thinking too much of it. but i must say, i'm blown away. most of the tracks have dreamy vocals and good backing by the band. the progression is not too bad at all. not exactly dream theater material but very nice for easy listening. it's something like light and easy metal, if there's such a thing.

One of my favorite albums by this band. One thing I want to say, Arriving Somewhere but Not Here... is probably one of the most amazing songs of our generation.

This is my favorite out of the three PT albums i own so far (their most recent three)
Arriving Somehwere but not here and the title track are freaking amazing, and the onnly PT song better than them is Anesthetize off FOABP imo. Halo is also amazing, awesome bass, and TSOSB has one of the best choruses ever, so emoitonal, and shallow is a great heavy rocker for PT. Tjhose are my top 5 on the album, but every song is still damn awesome.
What album from PT should i get next? I was thinking Stupid DReam cause it's seems to be their most popular, and paino lessons is an awesome song. I've heard good stuff about Lightbulb Sun also though.

Only parts of this album are properly 'heavy'; worth buying though

I like this cd, even if I can only listen to it when i'm in a certain mood. Lazarus is the

This album has some of Porc's top tracks yet it flows flawlessly as one whole piece.
Deadwing, Arriving Somewhere... and Start of Something Beautiful are killer. Lazarus's definitely a good song but the spot as the album's best calm has to go to Mellotron Scratch; It's absolutely gorgeous. One of my favorite PT songs.

I'm really digging Glass Arm Shattering right now, so peaceful and spacey, could fall asleep to it.
