Root is such a jam, the whole last minute is so fun with its different bits. That little bit from 2:40 almost sounds like the ending of Gore's t/t with the distorted screams. Also bass.
Also more stuff like Fist please

bought this on CD when I was like 12 in London at an HMV store based on a complete guess that I might like it. kick-started a lifelong fandom of the band. this album is so nostalgic for me XD.

That happened to me a bit later with atf.
There was no deftones when I was 12 XD
Edit: actually this came out when I was 12, but I was still all on Nirvana at the time. Don t think I d know any of this existed.

I was 9 when this came out so it wasn't bought when it was fresh out on the market. just decided to pick this one instead of ATF from the rock section I guess hahaha.
So we're both mid-thirties then ; )

It's all good brutha. They respect the hell out of Deftones. They told their fans at that show to start at this album and go through their entire discography.

There was this Colorado nu-metal band called “Clown” that ripped off this album and Korn’s debut album pretty hard.
