The Black Maria is nothing what Grade sounds like. You're retarded for thinking them similar.

Incredible band, incredible album, "Some Natures Catch No Plagues" is just stunning.
|
| |
"Closed Hands" and "Venus and Bacchus" are better than everything else on this combined. It's still good though, just gets boring.
|
| |
I think 'The Poet You Never Were' is the best track on the album, but they're all really excellent. They just seem to fly by real fast, and I don't even notice them. Weird.

This album goes by really slow for me.

I'm reconsidering judgement.
after more progression into this genre (basically, since falling in love with Circle Takes the Square) Saetia, although still a very important band, have gone down in my rankings.
There's some excellent moments to be had here, but to actually consider this a "5 star classic" is ridiculous. I don't think anyone could honestly say every track on this album is perfect, where as (going back to aforementioned example) many people can make that statement for 'As the Roots Undo'.
Saetia are still a fairly important band to me, they were, after all my first love when proerly getting into this genre, but I don't think I'd be able to hack listenening to the full album ever again (it's 70+ minutes! its wrong for the genre) a) becasue of the guitar sound and b) because it's too samey in places.
I will however continue to listen to nearly all these tracks indivisually, and 'Some Natures Catch No Plagues' will continue to stay in a special place in my heart.
Let's be friends.
(p.s Grade are better.)

oh and similarly, I like Hot Cross and Off Minor but still don't find them to be that special.
It's cool. People are always going to romanticize what they weren't around to see. Saetia stories always seem a lot more interesting than they actually are. Sooner or later, kids will realize that.
Iluvatar: I expect that though, I don't really stick to any one genre, I tend to be an absolute whore and leech of the best couple of each genre/sound.
