I know I'm sort of saying what I've already said before, but I'm bored and it just has to be said.
This album is so effing commendable in every conceivable way. It's a shame that people tend to focus on Roger's controlling nature rather than acknowledge just how brilliant a job he did of constructing such a truly remarkable peice of work. I don't think more effort has ever been put into an album. It's just a mammoth of a task which they pulled of with superb class.
American Idiot a rock-opera? Give these kids a copy of The Wall please.

this is a great cd and songs like waiting for the worms, comfortably numb, and in the flesh. but another brick part 2 is overplayed and there are alot of filler tracks that get annoying, pretty much everything from empty spaces till bring the boys back home.

All of you people who say this is the best album by floyd clearly havent listened to Animals and are single minded the album isnt even that good i meen there are some good songs but they are few and far between...anyways good review 3.5/5

Haha. It's taste people! Animals is my favourite, followed by The Wall. After that it's every album for itself.

"On The Run", the first three minutes of "Time", (arguably) "Breathe", "Speak To Me"...

Breathe is far from filler, infidel. And the first bit of Time doesn't get it's own track, now does it? Same for Speak to Me (except on the SACD Hybrid version). On the Run is the only thing you could consider filler from Dark Side.
Whereas the Wall has several, several tracks that really go nowhere.

It is truly a matter of opinion, I suppose, but the point of my post is that Dark Side of the Moon is far from enteratining in parts, and contains its fair share of overall dullness. Though I will concede, The Wall is a double-album, and therefore by law gauranteed far more filler.

The Wall has some great songs on it, but as an album I've always found it lacking. I much prefer DSOTM, WYWH, Meddle and Animals.

Animals is flippin' nasty. I think The Wall is really overrated, not least because its a 'rock opera'

The album along with the movie is awesome. And once you get more in depth and understanding, it makes The Wall so much better. This review really helps.

Yes, Dark Side of the Moon is very overrated, but so is The Wall. People think it's the greatest album ever, when really it's not all that consistent.

In my opinion the only reason this album is so popular is another brick in the wall pt. 2 and comfortably numb. but the fillers are some of my favorites. and also in my opinion i dont think that dark side of the moon is that great.

Ok, I'll rephrase myself,.
DSOTM is way more over-rated than The Wall.

Not even close to the best Floyd album as a whole.
