Most overrated album in history in my opinion. Just terrible short popsongs pasted after one another. The two most well-known songs are actually the two best songs, which is a terrible sign for a band like this one. The only thing that makes cheesy songs like these worse is being sung terribly, which Water perfectly manages to di. I love their 3 albums prior to this one and some of their older stuff, which is why I hate this album. It destroyed the incredicble potential this band had. It showcases how important Gilmour and Wright are for Pink Floyd. Without their contributions Waters is just a very average musician.

Need to jam this again, wasn't really clicking with me the couple of times I tried. Comfortably Numb is probably my favourite Pink Floyd song though.

This is an excellent record, though it has some filler tracks in my opinion. Nevertheless the concept is brilliant and it has some of the bands landmark songs.

Side 4 is boring as hell and side 3 is mostly filler but it has Comfotably Numb and Hey You which are perfect.

Sides 1 and 2 are master pieces though

Still you rated this 4.5? The description you just made it's a bit contradictory with your rating in my opinion.

side 4 harshly makes more than 10 minutes of a record that has a length superior to 80 minutes so I don't think is THAT contradictory, plus the awesomeness of sides 1 and 2 is so epic that I can accept the filler on the second half of the album without lowing the rating

it's still not a "4.5", it is like a 4.3 but I prefer to round up to higher numbers
