I may give out higher ratings like candy, but this album is DEFINITELY worthy of a 5 in my opinion.
This is certainly melodic death metal, but melodic death metal unlike anything I've ever heard before. I've read that these guys were heavily inspired by the Greek metal scene by bands like Septic Flesh, but these guys still sound significantly different from (and better than) those bands. This album should have gotten MUCH more exposure .
This album also excites me because they are from Gaithersburg, Maryland, which is not too far from where I live in Maryland. This is the best metal that Maryland has to offer, and it's much better than Dying Fetus.

Does anyone know of any other bands that sounds like this? The Slovakian band Depresy has at least an EP that sounds more like their debut album than this one, i.e. a bit more black metal influence, but I have yet to find any other bands.
