The Tourist used to be my favorite on the album. Good song but I get how it might feel draggy and the chorus perfunctory or somethin

it's always been very similar to Lucky to me, in tone and everything

but this probably has a bit to do with how different all the preceding tracks are to each other, in comparison

I like that it's there though, album would have been just a little too perfect if it had been cut clean after lucky

Their best b-sides are found on pretty much any album after Kid A tbh, never really fell in love with any of the OKC ones

Yesssss noler, that solo is classic. Always gave me Pink Floyd vibes (you can hear that influence on the guitar work in a lot of places on this album actually).

it's way less polished than any post-Barret Pink Floyd, to me

I've never been huge on PF but boy do I love this

Remember a time when influence pushed boundaries.

When a single album could change the zeitgeist.

An individual could speak for millions.

A trend had depth

Depth had resonance

Resonance was something that held influence.

Remember that do you? Course you don't. Keep spinning brand new and drown invention....fuckers.

I think it took me a while to realize this. It wasn't exactly something not understood but something that I couldn't point out in my head till recently.

This album is actually incredibly vibrant for what it is, especially with the instrumentals of Let Down and No Surprises. Really fits well as a contrast to the other emotions.

yeah ALA it's vibrant in a way that perfectly matches the "colors" of a record

like every other Radiohead album, to me, it sounds like its cover art - which is a great thing imo

The tourist is paradoxically the most memorable unmemorable song ever. I listened to it thrice earlier today and i can't recall how it goes now for the life of me. Seriously one of the dullest closers ever. They should have cut it and maybe lucky, or relegated it to bonus content, and finished strong with climbing up the walls

Even no surprises makes for a far better closer
