@Scream: Wanted to go as I quite like Wintersun but I am broke and couldn't justify 35$ or whatever it was just to see a band I like but not love.

You only have to be 19 to drink. The show itself is all ages.

Saw Eluveitie back in February when they came to Mavs and I've never seen that kind of energy in that place since. Plus they're playing Helvetios in full this time so overall I'm pretty stoked.

Time is definitely a step down from the S/t but still solid. THe only thing that worries me is how long the songs are on it. If they play a couple from time that doesn't really leave much set for any older stuff

"12/14 - Eluveitie, Wintersun, Varg @ Mavericks - AA/19+/7pm/SOLD OUT - VT, TW"

Don't quote me on it as it would be better just to call the venue itself, but according to this site it is all ages, but you have to 19+ to be able to get drinks. I know Ritual is like that for example.

It varies at Mavericks. Some shows are 19+. But the bigger ones are almost always 16+ or all ages (like this one)

Mavericks is pretty cool because it is so tiny. Can't believe how small the crowd was for Cryptopsy, didn't even fill up the venue. My how they have fallen from grace.

There was a good amount of room left at the Marduk show in June too. Which is unfortunate cause I'd really like to see more BM come to Ottawa. Apparently the Anaal Nathrakh show didn't sell out either but I couldn't make it to that one sadly

Ritual is cool but I don't like that 2-section thing they've got going at all
