I'm getting my ass handed to me in Final Fantasy XIII with one of the worst difficulty spikes I've ever experienced

Nothing is worse than stupid difficulty spikes.

DMC 3's Chapter 4 on DMD mode is probably the worst difficulty spike I've ever had, that made me quit the game for a bit.

Isn't that the level before you fight Agni and Rudra (or whatever they're called)? Btw, that's probably the most annoying fucking boss in that game

Yep you're right. I can handle all the bosses on that game (I love owning Beowulf :3) but I'm shit against Agni and Rudra.

Also Mission 19 on DMD mode is probably the shittest level ever, abysmal in every aspect. At least fighting Vergil after is awesome and he isn't cheap.

Oh yeah, the one where you fight them all again? Yeah, it's pretty shitty. Especially when in my circumstances last time I played, where all I had was 1 vital star and 1 yellow orb :[

No mission 19 is the level after the level where you fight all the bosses. It's where you have to kill 7 or 5 Abyss enemies (the teleporting scythe guys) in a short time limit which is completely luck based ( having a luck based fight in a game about skill is a sin of gaming) and fight Arkham (i.e. The damage sponge who launches lock on leaches who take off 1/4 of your life and swarms you with Freddy Krueger's condoms). Since I did the whole game with no items it made it even worse.

Oh fuck, I HATE the Arkham battle! Especially those little worm things he turns into occasionally

And then when Virgil helps you, it ironically becomes harder because you can't use the Devil Trigger

Those worm things are easily handled by the Kalina Ann but if you don't get into a serious groove and watch them constantly you'll easily get stun locked. I sware I'm the only person who finds having Vergil more of a help than Devil Trigger but I love fight Vergil though :D.

It was about this time last year I saw these guys live with Devin Townsend which was the night my opinion of this band completely changed. For a band I didn't like at all at the time, they completely blew me away.
