they're just an enigma. They are a bit on the scene side, but they're not -core enough to make an impact.

the only thing i find 'core' about them are the hardcore esque grunts in the vox

they're generic some of the time, and great some of the time. Hence the term "inconsistency"

i dont write off a band because they have breakdowns, but yes they do have a plentiful supply of them on this album

the hell you mean? are you saying it sounds drunk or something?

You said that the drummer doesnt do anything amazing...did you listen to the double bass in mannequin smile at 2:46

the drummer is the most inconsistent part of this band, switching between rather quick and technical "jazz-esque" fills to blazing double bass that is creative, to boring 2/2 or 4/4 beats that even phil rudd could pull off. he's deff got the talent though, just the over-use of breakdowns kinda makes it hard to see it sometimes.

after a few more listens i can tell that this guy can play for sure
but he is very inconsistent
cemetaryastage: you cannot base a good drummer off of double bass. if that was true then the old drummer for ABRB would be a god, but he's not, you cant just play really fast and expect to be a great drummer
in my eyes you need to bring something new to the table in order for them to stand out (and that goes for just about any instrument on an album) if they just seem like they're doing what everyone else is doing, then it just takes me out of the listening experience.
