This is one of the most underrated album of all time in my book. Once it grew on me it's been a classic in my mind. I think most people were expecting something on the line of their previous efforts. It reminds me of Emptiness's move with 'Not For Music', which is another masterpiece created by a band changing their style.

Interesting take. Album might still grow on me in the future. It's not so much that it didn't meet my expectations, it's that I'm hearing a different band I don't like that much. The absence of Borud and C. Espevoll on this one is really felt imo.
