The guitar work on Roots is really fun, and the synths are dope. Plus Mike sounds amazing on it, I don't know what you're hearing when you say he sounds bad, in fact I don't think he's ever sounded bad

He's sounds monotone as hell on Roots, whereas on this album and Plagues he shows a lot more range. But he has stated before that he blew his voice out sometime after Plagues which is why his voice sounds different.

I'm listening to Roots right now, and the range is just not there like it is on this album. I guess "monotone" was a bit of an exaggeration, but the smaller range definitely first becomes noticeable on Roots.

Plagues is my personal favorite, this is probably 3rd after Zombie. i remember being sorely disappointed with Roots when it came out and it still is kinda avg for me.
Assistant to the Regional Manger is a classic though.
