Very nice album, with a perfect first and a difficult second half. Definitely hear how crazy influential this is though. Oof!

You're partially right here in that it's a difficult second half, unfortunately the first has similar issues.

Hmm, I didn't really get that from the first half, but I wouldn't be surprised if I did later. Still superb though, that rhythm section man! Ouch! I suspect that this is one of those records which you need to invest a lot of time in, but when it finally clicks you're infinitely rewarded and hooked for life.

How do their others relate to this?

I was talking about this album with my friend the other day, they really captured magic here.

The others are pretty different; Future Days almost sounds tropical and sunny at times, some days I prefer it to this.

Ege Bamyasi is a little more straightforward and reminds me of Neu!. The ones they did before this are simpler, but still pretty out there.

Less experimental, I would say.

I edited my comment, meant to say Ege Bamyasi was more straightforward and reminded me of Neu!, not Future Days.

Yeah, already thought something like that. Curious to see how the other records relate to this!

A few of their albums don’t do much for me, but those three with the highest ratings averages are excellent.

Nice! That drop in quality looks to be quite extreme yeah.
