I find this album has tremendous replay value. I'm still mulling over increasing my rating, but I want to wait until I get the rest of their catalogue. Can't wait for the new album "A Disease for the Ages."

Can't wait for the new album "A Disease for the Ages."

It's coming out soon, I added the details to sputnik.

The clean vocals I find are tremendously melodic and add a whole dimension to each song - not sure what it is - maybe its that the growls and cleans are done by different people.

Saw a release date of 13 May for their new album. Their website says Feb and wiki says March, but that hasn't happened.

haha, we're brilliant. I'm looking forward to the album. Are you planning on reviewing it?

Well to be honest, my plans of reviewing are highly uncertain and unreliable. I mean, I have reviewed two albums in a year and a half so I am not exactly prolific. Problem is that my job means I am writing most of the time . . . so an album has to really do it for me if I am going to get up off my butt and actually review it and usually by that time some-one else has reviewed it, so I don't bother . . . Also I like to review things if people don't seem to know about a particular band. For instance, Blooddrunk by CoB, for example, will get pages of comments on how crap it is and I'm thinking, Jesus, you morons, there's some good **** over here that you don't even pay attention to!!

So long answer, short question - I would say definitely perhaps.

Incidentally the cover to the new MB looks pretty sick . . .

I agree, the previous covers have been okay, but this one blows them out of the water. Well I might review it depending on what it's like, either way one, if not both, of us should do it. And doesn't matter about being prolific, we know you can write well, you've already shown us :P

That's always pissed me off too, but I guess there's not much we can do about it.

Thanks, I appreciate it. All the writing I do is academic, jargon infested platitudes - and there is virtually no connection between that and writing a decent review. I actually find writing music reviews very difficult in comparison - which is probably the main reason that I don't get many out.

Yes . . . and I keep thinking it needs a higher than a 4 rating. One of these days, I'll push it up

You are all easily pleased, listen to early Anathema or My Dying Bride. After that it just gets to the stage where who can copy which band the best. Boring. The vocals are a good attempt but not in tune with whats going on, no direction, thats it. Shouting and wailing for shouting and wailing sake, pointless. 100s of bands came out during the 90s doing this. This is from 2000 era onwards. You have all missed the boat i'm afraid.
