I do think the emotional impact / resonance elevates it slightly beyond its compositional value, but then again that’s what music is about, right?

Having first heard this without any prior knowledge of the band, I knew right away it was very special. I think the backstory is interesting and adds weight, but it stands very strong on its own too imo
