This and from what I've heard of Isis ^especially from that link, is incredible, but Neurosis is still hard for me to get into

Neurosis is a grower, they can take some time to enjoy and when it finaly clicks, the music reaches holy shit tiers of awesomeness

here's the some worthwhile stuff to check, somewhat similar to Isis

Mouth of the architect - ties that blind (quietly is a grower)

Year of No Light - Ausserwelt

Pelican - Fire in our throats (or any other album, they're all pretty damn good)

Russian Circles - Geneva

If you dig those last three picks (the instrumental bands), try Omega Massif - Geisterstadt on for size.

I can get into most kinds of abrasive metal, just stuff like Neurosis and Eyehategod aren't doing it for me currently

Is.Land by Time to Burn is pretty good and easy to take in, so yea if you want check it. It's like atmospheric sludge post-screamo

id say you should leave this band for later since it goes well when you go on a PM rampage but you could give this a jam

I think the genrebenders are more up my alley, but I'll get into Neurosis eventually
