I've tried to get into this, man, I've triiiied.
I just can't

It's good, although I wouldn't rate it a 5. The riffs are a bit samey.

I just can't Totally understandable... they make things really difficult, but I've loved this album since the day I got it. The way they took Metal, Punk, and Progressive and made something almost totally original...It's good, although I wouldn't rate it a 5. The riffs are a bit samey. You think so? That's never a criticism I've heard about this album. Strange.

The riffs are far from the same. Willie, I just checked this album out in its entirety (thanks again for sending that link to me) and I loved it. Simply put, these guys have their own sound and their creativity is nothing short of original.

I'm glad you liked these guys... you'd probably like their first album too. I wrote a review for that one too. This Message Edited On 02.03.09

Someone needs to review "Shortwave"... Balls downloaded it after one of these reviews and liked it, and said he would review it, but never did. I don't want to review their entire back catalog because eventually I'll be labeled a fan boy and no one will believe them anyway. Maybe you could review "Shortwave"???

I'll try but I don't know when. I reaaaallly want to do My Dying Bride and The Foreshadowing and How Like A Winter so maybe in the clutter of doom metal I can do Shortwave

If not I'll get to it eventually because I've been listening to these guys a lot again. On the other review I posted a link to their demo that got them signed that is worth checking out if you have the time.

No problem, if you're interested (I posted this on their other review too):
Here is a video of them performing "The Challice Vermillion" live. The sound quality is questionable, and vocally it wasn't his best day, but you can clearly see the guitar and bass being played and see how nuts they are (especially the bass):

Also, here is a link to the demo that got them signed (near the bottom of the page):

Also, here is a link to the demo of them pre-Thought Industry when they were still called "Desecrator":

Goddammit I can't figure out any of the guitar parts

Yeah, they can be a little difficult to figure out. The previous album is no easier, in fact in some places it's even weirder.
