i really love the crimson tracks but i find a lot of the other songs quite boring

Well the main reason i rated this 5 is because of the combined crimsons.

yeah both crimsons are so so so so good but the other tracks are just standard melo death fair just a little slower and dare i say it slightly boring occasionally. i mean some are boss it's just there are quite a few that really aren't - also for a greatest hits package of sorts (i use the term 'hits' lightly) the production is pretty poor

apart from it's not a greatest hits package, at all.
the songs were chosen by the fans and picked to display EOS's evolution as a band, hence there being an equal amount of earlier and later EOS songs.

i know what it is crimson - i don't think edge of sanity had many songs on top of the pops ;) that is why i said a greatest hits package of sorts and that i was using the term lightly - therefore my opinion is still more than valid/justified etc.

there's only a little bit of bonus stuff on there, so it's not that essential to hear since it's basically just like four records and an EP I think. Still almost perf tho.
