I was finally able to find it a couple of months ago. Needless to say, I bought it straight away.

I don't know. Depends on where they get it from I suppose, and how rare the album is. I've found independent stores are the only ones good for this though - chain stores will only order in by request things which they already stock, which has to be the most pointless thing I've ever heard.

I got it from Virgin Megastore. Any self-respecting music store should carry this album.

I went to my local Best Buy recently, and they must have done a major overhaul of the store because it was filled with albums I could never find there. For one thing, they've always had one of those artist dividers that said "At the Drive-In," but there have never been any ATDI albums to actually fill that spot. Well I go there recently, and what do I find? Acrobatic Tenement! The first album that almost nobody cares about, and it's the ONLY album from them there.

Also usually MIA: Rust In Peace by Megadeth. I went metal over mental and picked up RIP.

You're both wrong, it's actually pronounced "Gary."

I think it has something to do with "Breadfan," if that's even a word/musical thing.

Phish was going to cover this album for their Halloween shows. Apparently they're big Kevin Shields fans.

The only place I could find Acrobatic Tenement was F.Y.E. I wanted to die then.

Seriously, though, independent stores and even independent chains (Joe Nardone's Gallery of Sound, represent!) can order cds for no charge. They usually put it in with the normal orders so that the shipping cost isn't separate or anything and, in some cases, the cd comes in within 2 or 3 days.

As for the album, it's beautiful. When I first heard it a few years ago, I had no clue what the hell it was about but I grew to love it. LOVE it. Great review, too.
