He's been hacked like a million times. Probably wasn't him, and if it was... lol. This Message Edited On 04.14.08

That soundoff is pretty bad, but the rating's correct. At least someone else is immune to whatever auditory hallucinogen is apparently in this album.

At least two.....it's like hard labor for the ears. Sure the guitarist(s) can play, but Bannon totally ruins this band. I'd probably come to like this if it were someone else.

but Bannon totally ruins this band.

Agreed but the music does a fine job making up for him.

Bannon sounds completely original, I think he's the main reason why I listen to this record.

His vocals are the epitome of inaccessible. They are also the epitome of original, for metalcore anyways. His screams and shrieks are very grating, but they are also incredibly emotional and almost scary. I can literally say I haven't heard anyone scream like he does, which is a difficuly feat, especially in a genre swimming with generic copy cats. Try the album a couple 12 more times.

^mostly the singer...i mean, i understand that he's different...but his screams still just annoy the living fuck out of me...

...i've given this a few more listens, and the guitars have actually sort of grown on me, but they arent really anything to write home about...and everything else...eh.

that's my just my opinion though and i respect all of yours.

Edit: i'll probably give this at least one more listen...rate it...and put it to rest. This Message Edited On 04.14.08

Yeah vocals actually took a while for me to get into as well but now I think they are great but no where near as good as the instruments which are just perfect

The title track is pretty orgasmic. Also that riff in Distance and Meaning makes me a little more fucked up; it's that sick!

Yeah Distance and Meaning is the only track that's just not very enjoyable for me. Everything else I'm really into right now though.

^Agreed.

Have been listening to this these days (without really having a bad day :D) and every song is nuts. That scream in Bitter and Then Some (short break) is out of this world btw.
