whereas tree said it's not.

Hey you might give this post here a read again ^^

if your definition of heavy-ish music is pop music with distortion and breakdowns i could see
you having problems with converge

should clear up the confusion ^^

Betray you better start with their last two albums, they are much more accessible, it will be easier for you.

Yeah and they both rule too, so it'll give you a good taste of their style.

So the newest two albums are the most "accessible"?

they're probably the closest thing to accessible that converge has yeah, unless you just went through a bitter breakup in which case this is the most accessible and if you aren't listening to it right now you're fucking up.

Well I'm pretty sure I'm about to go through a pretty interesting and odd break up so maybe this will be great..

Idk, the early stuff is pretty accessible too. You like Slayer? Then you will like Converge's first couple albums. The newer stuff is definitely easier on the ears as well (also they slay), but I generally think it's better to start from the beginning so you can appreciate the band's progression they way it actually played out.

Nope this album still hasn't clicked with me yet.

I've even tried listening to it when in a shitty mood, all pissed off and it's still eh.

Hard to relate when you can't understand a damn thing being said.

okay with a band like converge even if you look at the ratings you'll kinda know halo isn't their best/ and you'll know how well liked everything else is.

i mean it can happen but usually it's best for bands with really consistent discogs so you don't just end up listening to a bunch of filler albums. it depends on the band
